Company you are currently working at:
Eaton Corporation
Current job function: Manager, Worldwide Planning and Market Development for the Automotive Segment's,
Powertrain and Specialty Controls Operation.
Education prior to MMM:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
Employment prior to MMM:
Senior Consultant in Strategic Sourcing in Andersen LLP's Supply Chain Solutions Team.
Positions after MMM:
After graduating from the MMM program, I entered Eaton's Operations Management Development Program, where I had two one-year rotations. My first year was in a plant as Lean Program Manager and I spent my second year as an Associate in Eaton's Automotive Development an d Planning Group. I have since graduated this development program and have been working in my current position as a Manager of Worldwide Planning and Market Development.
Why I chose MMM:
I found the MMM program to have the perfect mix of business focus and product focus in a seamlessly designed curriculum--a result of earnest collaboration between the Kellogg and McCormick program directors mixed with years of student influence. Many other schools had dual degree programs which were not as finely tuned. Looking back, the MMM program's flexible curriculum allowed me to accelerate my journey from a technical and analytical position to a place in my career where I now have the tools to drive business decisions and offer operational and st rategic leadership.
