Directors

The MMM Program is directed by two distinguished professors: the Kellogg School's Sudhakar Deshmukh and McCormick's Don Norman.

Sudhakar Deshmukh (above left) is the Charles E. Morrison Professor of Decision Sciences in Kellogg, where he has been teaching since 1971. Professor Deshmukh has developed and taught various courses in operations management and decision sciences in the Kellogg School's MBA and executive education programs at national and international levels.

Don Norman (above right) is the Breed Professor of Design in the Electrical Engineering & Computer Science department at McCormick. A well known expert in design, consultant to industry, author, and a former executive at Apple Computer, HP, and a startup, Norman directs the design major in MMM as well as acting as co-director of the Segal Design Institute.

Steven Fischer (right) serves as associate director for the MMM Program, and his primary duties surround MMM's relation with the outside world, such as lining up integration projects, working with the Advisory Board and running the seminar series. Steve also introduced a course at Northwestern on the fashion industry and launched the Kellogg Fashion, Lifestyle & Design lecture series. He holds a master's degree from Northwestern.
